small boutique – ‘Manshaa’. started out by locating wholesalers/ manufacturers of various women's accessories across the city of Mumbai. After evaluating different vendors and product categories, I short listed those which could generate volumes based on value derived/perceived by customers. Participating in exhibitions aided not only sales but also provided me firsthand experience of how consumers decide. In addition, I also approached a few retailers across other cities ( Hyderabad, Chennai) to become their sourcing agent.
