Experience in Design and development for Engine Auxiliary systems for passenger cars. - Gasoline Engines: Air Intake, Crankcase and Evaporative Emissions, Accelerator and EGR systems- Diesel Engines: Charge Air Cooler Systems for Diesel Engines. Monitoring Development, Production, Part performance and Evaluation at supplier as per Vehicle Development schedule. Approval of Process flow chart and Tier-II suppliers. Quality and performance monitoring throughout the lifecycle of the part. Involvement in final PPAP audit after SOP (Start of Production).Initiation of RRFQ and supplier short listing: • Short listing of prospective suppliers based on development lead time, manufacturing and testing capability, part quality, past performance and flexibility for implementing design changes. Subsequent release of RRFQ to Supply chain for cost negotiation and supplier selection.• Supplier selection and technical review: Conducting Technical review with shortlisted suppliers for evaluating design and development capability. Involvement in final selection of supplier based on Technical review and final quotations.• Localization & second source development: Localisation of imported parts for cost reduction. Identification of prospective suppliers for design and development of high technology and proprietary parts. Design and Testing support for alternate/second source development for risk mitigation, meeting production demand and cost reduction.• Project Management: Overall co-ordination for vehicle project from Concept Stage to SOP at division level. Monitoring new part development schedules, Vehicle trials, Static/Dynamic Quality reviews and overall cost & weight targets.
