For this role:-Worked alongside team of two other members to update and remove bugs from UCLA Learning Assistant's Website under the guidance of Professor Shaked. -Utilized time to learn digital imaging skills to manage the website and update information and bring online interactive resources for faculty and students. -Helped maintain the website, provide new updates, introduce new resources for students to utilize as Learning Assistants under the LA Program at UCLA

The Learning Assistants (LA) Program in the Sciences at UCLA is an evidence-based, multidisciplinary instructional strategy, in which students who have succeeded in a given course receive credit to learn how to help the next group of students succeed in that course. It is specifically geared toward large introductory science, engineering and math courses. All new LAs attend a pedagogy course to learn about best practices in fostering student-centered and collaborative learning, and they simultaneously practice, reflect on, and improve these skills in the content course, under the guidance of their faculty mentor. Undergraduate students who serve as LAs thus help facilitate active learning and collaborative instruction in class and outside of lecture during office hours and discussion/lab sections.The program aims to strengthen a few key aspects of UCLA courses:- Increase the success and skills of the LAs themselves, as they refine content knowledge, while gaining new communication skills and a sense of community.- Enhance the ability of faculty to effectively scale active learning, collaborative learning, and other interactive activities to more effectively teach a large and diverse student body.Increase the level of student satisfaction and belonging in these courses, and for the LAs themselves.- Foster more application and interdisciplinary connections being made by instructors and TAs, since LAs are often more aware of student interests than the faculty and TAs teaching the courses.

LAUSD Tutor/Teacher's Assistant What do I do?-Teach lectures to students under an open teaching environment to Honors and AP students. -Hold one-on-one study sessions with individual students. -Teach lectures on AP Biology, AP Chemsitry, Honors Biology and offer persona advice and tricks and trips.-Help create new learning goals along with activities for the class to engage in.

-For the past 5 years I have helped coordinate various cultural programs, shows, and events regarding the diverse Bengali American Hindi culture in the greater Los Angeles area including: - Cultural Plays - Dance Performances - Comedy Panels - Visual Arts Program -Helped teach youth ages 5-16 about the diverse Bengali-Hindi culture teaching: Bengali, Bengali culture, and Bengali traditional dance. -Have tutored many of these youth members, providing academic advice and counseling.

-Undergraduate Research partake in individual and group research projects focusing on the physical protein interactions and mechanisms for complex biological processes-Focus on certain diseases and mechanisms of the interactions between proteins via CryoEM -I am currently undergoing a research project at CNSI (California Nanosystems Science Institute) where I am experimenting with the physical structures of complex protein structures of the Human Adenovirus under the low pH systems to better understand how these proteins function under such stress.

-Medical Aid Initiative (MAI) is a student run organization in partnership with UCLA Health that provides resources to various global health organizations that share the same vision of providing free medical care and health education to underdeveloped nations around the world. -MAI follows the mission model: Sustainability, Distribution, and Awareness.

My position was to manage lab materials, manage the members of this research team and make sure everyone is working efficiently. Responsibility to develop culture medium, perform rat dissection, use of two-photon electron microscope, building of electrodes, maintenance of HOOD room and various virus samples and acute supplies. Primary responsibility alongside Post-Doctorate members as well as Undergraduate Research Assistants to manage the various research projects and papers being funded by the UCLA Neurobiology Department.

-Travel to client's homes and help students solve chemistry problems and understand diverse concepts related to the exam and prepare for school exams/AP exam. -Helped teach students the topics and tricks to better understand and attack questions, helping them better understand the material that they were not learning properly in school. -Helped tutor 30+ students (ages 15-19) under the program as an unpaid volunteer.-Recommended by LAUSD certified tutoring programs to help further students.
