UMEED exists to empower women from the low-income communities of Hyderabad, India, by providing them with life skills and knowledge; enabling them to take better control of their livelihoods. Umeed’s FirstLeap program was recently recognised by UNESCO for its focus on exemplar programs enabling lifelong learning and sustainable impact. The program is designed to work on skill development, evolving self-awareness, and providing exposure to fundamentals like rights and duties, financial and digital literacy amongst others to make women employment-ready and have access to suitable work opportunities.

Pune Area, India

- As vertical head, I designed and implemented annual strategies and operational plans for Pune Program vertical which involved need analysis, planning & execution, monitoring & evaluation, team management, and communicating impact - impacting 7000+ students in 40 schools, 150+ teachers, and 14 team members.- Coached and built capacity of team members (impacting 14 Managers, Coaches and Associates), by establishing cross-functional, structured, and unstructured learning experiences toward meeting short-term and long-term goals. -Responsible for student learning outcomes, fellow development and cultural goals, fellow readiness for post-fellowship along with sustaining and managing relationships with school and community partners across the 40 intervened government, low-income and PPP schools in Pune.

-Handled the product implementation, training and customer service for 300+ schools in Telangana. - Managed and coached a team of education coaches to provide training and services to the schools and trouble shoot academic and non-academic issues.

Vadodara Area, India

-Handled the staffing and training of the training vertical - Created a school engagement plan to provide the necessary product training to the schools and build lasting relationship.

Dhaka, Bangladesh

I worked as a curriculum specialist at the winter academy of Teach For Bangladesh, supporting the new cohort of fellows and Academy fellow advisers through designing and facilitating pedagogy and content based training. The goal for the fellows was to reach beginning proficiency on the 'Teaching as Leadership' rubric and the sessions and experiences planned at the winter academy enabled them to plan for beginning proficiency and at the same time develop mindsets that will enable them to be strong leaders in not just their classrooms but also beyond it.

As a Program Manager, I led a team of 18 Fellows teaching across various low income government and private schools in Hyderabad. My role primarily involved supporting the Fellows to achieve high academic achievement with their students through skill building on pedagogy and content knowledge, and coach them in their Leadership Development.

Led the school transformation project in the school, by conducting teacher training program for the non-TFI teachers. This helped in substantial improvement in the classroom culture and the teaching style.Created a functional library for the class with books organized according to their grade levels.Co-edited the curriculum for standards 2nd to 3rd for school calendar .Gathered resources and donations for the class in the form of books, dictionaries and useful stationaries by collaborating with the Accenture CSR department.
