Ms Nehama Ronen has been Chairperson of Maman Cargo Terminals & Handling Ltd, Israel’s leading Logistic and Commercial Cargo handling company, since 2004. Maman is a Holding Company, with ten subsidiaries in associated fields, including Aviation Services and Logistics in its widest sense, including Ground Services, Rail, Sea and Air. The Company operates in Israel and in several countries in Europe.Ronen served as the Executive Chairperson of ELA - Beverage Containers Collection Corporation Ltd, one of Israel's major recycling corporations from 2005 to 2019. Ms Ronen was responsible for the creation and the successful implementation of the recycling process in Israel, as well as for the educational assimilation of the concept, which resulted in a paradigm shift in the behavior of the public and in the adoption of new recycling standards by the Israeli Society.Her other duties include being a Member of the Board of Directors of Bank Hapoalim, Israel's largest and leading bank, and was a member of its Corporate Governance and its Compensation Committees. She was also a Member of the Board of SHL Tele-medicine Ltd, an emergency medical services corporation.Ms Ronen served as a Member of the Board of Oil Refineries Ltd, (2008-2011) Nehama Ronen has earned the reputation in Israel as a champion of environmental issues . She served as the Director General of the Ministry of Environmental Protection (1996-1999).From 2001-2003,she took a break from her corporate life and served as a Member of Knesset, representing the Center Party where she was a member of the Knesset Economics Committee and Constitution Committee. As for today on top of being the Chairperson of Maman : Ms Ronen is a member of the board of Tamar Petroleum-the gas reservoir, as well as member of the board of Dan- public transportation.Ms Ronen holds a Muster's Degree in Public Administration and graduated a Senior executive Program at London Business School..
