The main objective of this project was to be able to identify the distinct governance functions fora statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) and propose an organizational structure thatwould fit within the existing structure of Health Information Network of South Texas (HINSTx).To achieve this objective I researched on HIE, governance structure as per the Texas Health and Services Authority operational plan, organizational and governance structure of other developed local HIEs.
