Ran own contracting company, bidding for contracts to renovate interiors of houses and public buildings, inputting to the design, hiring sub-contractors, organizing materials, supervising all works then handing over to client, growing the company to a turnover of c.$300k per annum.

• Managed the operations of a large kitchen company from initial interface with the client, directing the showroom team, coordinating manufacturing, and all processes to successfully deliver the project, meeting the client expectations and satisfactions.• Led a team of up to 130 skilled and unskilled workers on a Saudi University project, recruiting all staff, coordinating the work of multiple trades across warehousing, assembly and installation, monitoring the standard of their work and ensuring that any mistakes or issues were quickly resolved to avoid any delays to the schedule.• Developed new teams and ways of working in Saudi Arabia on two major projects; implementing new operational techniques and streamlining processes to improve productivity, reduce waste and increase profit.• Managed a $10m project to install 3000 kitchens for University accommodation in Saudi Arabia over a 3 year period, controlling all aspects of the project including contract negotiations, interpreting architect drawings, materials, installation and finances completing the project on time to the client’s satisfaction, resulting in $5m extra works.

• Led a series of projects fitting out retail shops for major Saudi corporations like Saudi Telecoms, preparing the BOQ, selecting furniture manufacturers, preparing the site and supervising installation including snagging, then organizing the ongoing maintenance, doubling the contracts awarded to us over a 2 year period.

• Trained and worked up through family’s furniture business including manufacture, sales and installation.
