Hello, I'm Neh Patel, a passionate and driven software engineer with a strong background in backend and frontend development, as well as a keen interest in machine learning. I'm currently pursuing my Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Minor in Cybersecurity, I have excelled academically and received prestigious awards, including the University of Tennessee Volunteer of Distinction Award and the Gonzalez Family Award for outstanding achievement in computer science.I have gained valuable hands-on experience through my recent role as a Software Engineering Intern at Garmin, where I contributed to significant improvements in backend services. I revitalized these services using modern Java Reactor Core, resulting in over 40% faster response times. Additionally, I incorporated new features using Scala and TypeScript to enhance the accuracy of avionic map data in critical regions worldwide. My expertise extends to a wide range of technologies, including Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, and Maven, allowing me to deploy services that can handle over 3,000 calls per hour.During my time as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee, I leveraged my skills to visualize geographic mapping data for the National Park Service.
