Listing Specialist/Ecommerce AnalystDeal Genius Jul 2018 - Mar 2022Chicago, Illinois, UsI started my tenure at Deal Genius as a Customer Service Associate, and was offered a position on the Listing Team, where we create listings for many different kinds of products on multiple seller platforms. My primary responsibilities consist in ensuring that all of the products uploaded to our website (Deal Genius.com) and the other seller platforms (AMZ, eBay, Walmart, Wish, DealGenius.com) have the most accurate and helpful information for customers. Often this means using Excel templates and converting them into UTF-8 files to upload the information to Channel Advisor, which is a kind of hub for the other marketplaces that we sell products on. To that end, I use targeted keyword research to optimize product listings and adapt the information to each marketplace's rules and guidelines, since they are often quite different. Tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, and Amazon's Product Opportunity Explorer have been helpful for keyword research in order to give us the best chance at selling the items in question. I have experience listing and optimizing in 30 different categories of products - everything from home essentials, such as storage bins and flameless candles, to apparel items, such as pajama pants, shoes and tank tops. Through my SEO optimization and keyword research: I improved and maintained our Listing Quality Score for Walmart, to earn and retain our Pro Seller status, and thus our discoverability, for a catalog of over 2000 different products. I enhanced and preserved a healthy IDQ score on Amazon (95%) by focusing on impactful keywords, bullet points and descriptions. I increased visibility and conversion on eBay with filling (and backfilling) all necessary eBay item specifications. -
