Waste Water Scientist
CurrentI spend most of my time investigating process problems at Waste Water Treatment Works in the West area by taking samples and analysing them using a range of different tools, such as monitoring equipment, lab testing and species identification, this approach is fundamentally important when trying to minimise the impact our sewage treatment works can have on the environment and trying to reduce the costs associated with running the works. I am required to write reports highlighting the issues and any solutions that I feel may be appropriate and submit RIOWS or present my findings to other parts of the business, such as H5O to try and secure funding for any schemes that may be required.
