Directing Strategic Growth Investment• Responsible from project ideation to establishment of stable ongoing operations• Business case development• Establishing project charter including scope of work, goals and deliverables together with the project champion to support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders• Establishing the project team / structure necessary to reach the project goals• Developing full-scale project plans and associated communication documents• Establishing the project execution strategy including appropriate contractual framework• Direct multiple Teams involved – Capex, Operational Readiness, Tech Transfer for new Customer introduction, infrastructure support• Confirming the maintenance of quality systems and cGMP compliance for the business by ensuring all project managers and Teams comply with processes, procedures and instructions for all activities in which the team participatesManufacturing / Production• Direct all manufacturing and supporting activities required to produce product• mRNA, Cell & Gene Therapy, Mammalian Cell Culture, and Bacterial Fermentation expertise• Strong experience with Regulatory Inspections (> 20 inspections, multiple markets) Contract and Product Management• Development of contract price agreements, work scope, scheduling, business forecasting and management of contract deliverables.• Link communication between the Customer, Sales, and Operations as primary interface for issues or questions. Provide technical support to Sales and Business Development.Engineering Management/Design/Process Support• Manage capital engineering projects at global level• Directly responsible for Management on $100 Mio + projects, part of team on $250 Mio + projects• Manage Engineering groups responsible for supporting ongoing manufacturing operations• Design, construction, startup and validation of mammalian cell culture bioreactors and production suites• Design, construciton, startup and validation of purification suites• Engineering consulting
