Supporting the delivery of sessions with young carers across Fife aged 8-25.

To achieve the highest sales possible for my store, whilst ensuring an efficient and cooperative working environment, excellent customer service, consistent store standards, minimal costs, optimum productivity, tightly controlled inventory and waste, strong due diligence and accurate accounts. In fulfilling these duties I had to manage the store employees according to the Aldi Management System. I am a lead Trainer for the development of senior management, including Area Managers, Assistant Store Managers and Deputy Store Managers.I decided to return to Assistant Store Manager to concentrate on studying my Level 5 HR qualification.

To manage the Participation & Training function of Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP). Identifying and managing various projects on behalf of the SYP and as a consultant for external agencies, including the Scottish Youth Parliament. Lead on managing, developing and delivering existing programmes and identifying new programmes of work to support the participation of elected members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs). Develop the MSYP training programme and manage the Scottish Qualifications Authority credit rating, which I obtained in June 2011.Develop and manage specific projects and identify new programmes of work for the Scottish Youth Parliament, create funding proposals and deliver projects as agreed with the funder. Manage project staff, including support and supervision and creation of work plans. Develop and maintain the child protection policies and procedures of the Scottish Youth Parliament.

A joint project between Oxfam and the Scottish Youth Parliament, I was responsible for the key support and training of young people across Scotland in a wide variety of skills, including project development, IT and support working and supporting them to put their projects into place. I was required to maintain the relationships between all partners and funders; including building and maintaining the website. To deliver the programme, training weekends were designed and delivered. This required me to develop the training programme and coordinate the logistics around the weekend including booking venues, transport and purchasing food and materials.

Responsible for the delivery of the Young Scot e-Roadshow in both schools and open events, throughout Scotland. Also in charge of the administration of the Young Scot Discount scheme, working alongside the existing partners and negotiating with organisations who wished to submit to the scheme. Redesigning the administrative side of the scheme, including the discount database, updating the Young Scot website to promote the new discounts. I also support the local authorities to negotiate discounts in their local areas. Planning of sessions to meet the needs of the school curriculum adapting them to individual needs and the political nature at the time, using the Internet as a tool to complete this task. Included within my role I was also involved in organising conferences both nationally and internationally to consult with young people on various projects. I also worked collaboratively with a wide range of organisations to conduct projects on their behalf including the Scottish Executive and Scottish Arts Council.
