Logistics Human Resources Manager/Safety Manager Responsibilities:o Recruitment and retention of Professional Operators/Internal Staff o Fleet Safety Policy development and administrationo Drug and Alcohol P.O.C. / administration o Pre-employment onboarding incudes vetting and verification of potential candidates, including road testing, background checks, drug testing, ecto Driver development, training, and complianceo Developed and maintained certification in various Transportation Security Programs (C-TPAT, PIP, FAST, CSA, TWIC) and ensure continuous compliance by working closely with assigned Supply Chain Security Specialists at U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Canada Border Services Agency. o National Safety Code compliance administrationo Ensure compliance under TDG Act through training and administration, and working with Transport Canada in the administration of the act as requiredo Responding and acting as P.O.C. during various audits from all regulatory agencies (i.e. CBP, CBSA, Transport Canada, HRDC, ect). o WCB administration, and RTW programso OH&S administrationo Hours of Service administration and training, full knowledge of ELD systems, both front end and back end (Geotab, Omnitracs). Ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations and respond to OTR requests from Enforcement agencies, troubleshooting ELD issueso Responsible for Authority Licensing and insurance administration, as well as all permits, including (not limited to) PHMSA, Alliance Uniform Hazmat, US Border, ect, ecto Labour Code of Canada administration and compliance, as well as ensuring compliance in various acts (i.e. PIPEDA, Pay Equity, ect) (Federally regulated operation)o Accident investigation, General/Auto Insurance administration including directly facilitating repairs, working with Adjusters and Appraisers, and directly working with repair facilities to minimize downtime. o Transportation Management System skills include Axon and TMW
