Petabit was my Limited IT Contractor business with Public Liability and Indemnity insurance.

My role at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust involved business as usual support for 10000+ endpoint devices (Mainly Desktops and Laptops) across approximately 400 sites. Windows 7, Active Directory, MS Office 2010, Citrix and Windows Server 2008 were used on a daily basis. Knowledge of bespoke NHS software was gained.

Based at Littlefish (Managed IT Services and Support) I provided remote support of 500+ Servers for a large legal and professional services organisation. My role at Pedigree involved the support of Servers, Desktops, Laptops, MFD’s, Network and Telephony at Pedigree’s Head Office. Pedigree has five remote sites, supported remotely when possible. I used the following technologies frequently during my role; Active Directory, Exchange Server 2010, Windows Server 2008, McAfee EPO, Windows 7, Office 2010, Group Policy Management, Firewall Management (WatchGuard & SurfControl) and Mitel Telephony.

Within this role I supervised 12 members of the IT team. This was mainly a hands-on role supporting Servers, Desktops and Users (7500+) across the Associated and Northcliffe Newspapers Group. Including the Nottingham Post Group, Leicester Mercury and Derby Telegraph. Experience gained covered SCCM, Citrix, VMware, Active Directory, Windows 7 & XP, Windows Server 2008 & 2003, Cisco Switches, Exchange, Office365, McAfee, ITIL v3, Incident Management and Change Control. Two major projects were the rollout of Windows7 and the migration from Office2010 to Office365. Server builds including using VMware to virtualise existing physical servers. Many applications were hosted by Citrix Servers which were built and maintained in-house.

During this role I supported approximately 50+ Servers and 1200+ Users based at newspapers in the midlands region. This role involved incident management, server and desktop builds. Experience gained in Novell Netware, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Networks.

Responsibilities included the deployment and maintenance of all computer related equipment from laptop to server. Experience gained in Apple Macintosh workstations, servers & notebooks, Novell, Website development, Mobile data communications and networking both WAN & LAN.
