Completed a five week work term as part of the Occupational Health and Safety practicum with NSCC. Work included: -Development, Revision and completion of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System -The development of Policies and Safe Work Procedures-Workplace Inspections-Conducting OHS training -Participation in OHS committee meetings-Advising departments on Workplace OHS issues and resolutions

Worked in concrete and civil divisions on large scale excavations, back fills, assisting various tradesmen in their duties, spotting heavy equipment, shovelling, raking, picking, flagging, housekeeping, snow removal, working in confined spaces/restricted spaces, man watch, ground compactions, ground insulations, assisting on Hydrovac, concrete pours, hazard recognition, assessment and elimination for each new task being performed-Representative for main contractors I.C.A.R.E(involved, committed, aware, responsible and empowered) safety program-Representative for company's J.O.H.S committee -Volunteered doing the daily toolbox meetings on a regular basis
