Initially employed to manage the high level design stage of Merchandise Operations, a major supply chain transformation & system integration programme due to replace some 30 to 40 existing systems with enhanced functionality provided by Oracle & JDA. Project team of 100+ on and offshore resources from Waitrose, Oracle, JDA and Cognizant. Later moved on to manage the shaping stages of 2 sub projects within the programme: a) a Supplier Delivery Scheduling project and b) a Reporting & BI project.

Employed within the John Lewis department stores part of the business and over a period of 5 years assigned to work on 7 different projects, including:- Unlock BI: Fixed team, variable scope Agile delivery project to exploit existing SAP business intelligence tools and unlock value in existing data.- Omni Channel Reporting. Managed all stages of a major high profile strategic business intelligence project to provide John Lewis with enhanced insight into profitability by product, channel, catchment and fulfilment method. This involved building a team of 20+ people to develop an application using the following solution components: Ab Initio ETL, IBM DB2 data warehouse, SAP Business Objects and Oracle Essbase analytics.- Gift Cards. Managed the initiation and initial delivery stages of a pan-partnership project to introduce electronic gift cards into both John Lewis and Waitrose. Management of collaboration between 20+ business & system workstreams and the 3rd party supplier (Ceridian).

Called in to take on a 'trouble-shooting' role and rescue an EPOS and store back-office system programme that had previously been in serious trouble, was months behind schedule, failing to meet business requirements, and suffering from poor software quality.

Business role managing the set up of Wickes’ first franchise operation in the Republic of Ireland in conjunction with the franchise partner, Moritz Group. Managed multiple project teams and departmental working groups in Wickes, Travis Perkins and Moritz comprising around 60 people.

Employed in the Professional Services practice and over a period of 3 years assigned to work on 4 different customer projects:- A Torex/Retail-J EPOS & back-office system implementation at World Duty Free. Full life-cycle project- RedPrairie/BlueCube Workforce Management implementations at Mitchells & Butlers and Marriott Hotels (the 1st two RedPrairie/BlueCube implementations in the UK)- Unix to Linux operating system change for Booker Cash & Carry's store back-office system

Managed 2 major initiatives:- A Business Communications Strategy project involving email, intranet publishing and deployment of SAP Enterprise Portal for Booker Cash & Carry. - A Torex Workforce Management project for Booker Cash & Carry and co-ordination of activity with a sister project at Iceland Foods

Initially employed to carry out an end to end process review and develop the business requirements for a system to be used in Wickes Showroom business (kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms & conservatories). Later retained to select a software provider, and to design, build, implement and ensure benefits realisation for the Pivotal CRM and Sales Force Automation system. Full life-cycle project.

Managed the international programme to re-engineer the global sourcing, supply chain and import management processes, standardise these across all Kingfisher group operating companies, and implement new systems at the Hong Kong sourcing office

Employed to carry out a business study into the procurement of non merchandise goods and services (GNFR). Produced the business case, defined the business requirements and managed the selection of a software provider. Later retained to work on implementing the Lawson Accounts Payable system.

Carried out an end to end business process review and produced the design blueprint for a European implementation of the JDA Merchandise Management & Supply Chain systems into Wickes operations in the UK, Holland, Belgium & France

Taken on in a 'trouble-shooting' role to re-scope and deliver the OASIS project, a high profile internal development that had run out of control and was significantly overspent. OASIS is a Computer Services management system containing separate modules for Help Desk Call Management, Timesheet Management, Assets Database, and Billing

Joined on formation of the company to plan the disengagement of Powerhouse from its parent company systems. Retained to work on implementation of Merchandise Management, Supply Chain & Finance systems supplied by JDA. Pro-active role taken in defining the need for, developing and introducing new business processes.
