AquaFed - the global association of private water operatorsKey responsibilities- Executive responsibility for overall management and setting the association's strategy - Leading AquaFed's contributions to bring United Nations policy development, reports and consultations on water and sanitation- Campaigning and advocacy on key issues including the human right to water and sanitation, gender equality, strong governance, sustainable business practices and overall delivery of UN Sustainable Development Goals- Providing a global centre for information and knowledge about private water operators, public-private partnerships- Representing private operators in various international high level partnerships, organisations and stakeholder fora including UN organisations, Sanitation and Water for All Partnership, OECD, European Commission, World Bank- Supporting member companies and associations through knowledge and best practice sharing, working group activity and strategic counsel- Personal focus on key issues for water and sanitation including: finance, governance, human rights, public-private partnerships, citizen-user participation and decision-making.Partnership roles through AquaFed include:- Chair of the Private Sector Working Group of the Sanitation and Water for All Partnership- Private sector representative of UN Water- Co-organiser of the UN High Level Political Forum Business Day

Key responsibilities• The management, budget and operations of EurEau.• Most senior executive at EurEau’s General Assembly, Executive Committees and technical working groups.• Setting EurEau’s business and communication strategies and accountability for performance and delivery.• Directing policy formulation and development.• Representing EurEau to key stakeholders including EU Commissioners and most senior DG officials, MEPs, Member State government officials and a wide range of stakeholders.• Representing EurEau in media interviews, giving speeches and presentations.

- Led the three-year communication programme to support the FSA’s supervision of 11,000 smaller firms.- Led the FSA’s regular liaison with key trade associations and other key stakeholders. - Worked alongside supervisory departments and policy teams to instigate and run communication and training workshops on key topics for high-impact firms, including liquidity, stress testing and Solvency II. - Created and implemented strategic communications plans with targets, measures and alignment with FSA objectives and priorities. - Managed communication programmes using mixes of tools, including 500-delegate conferences, training workshops, speeches and presentations, web, email and print, to support and enhance supervision and regulation of firms.- Redesigned the FSA’s website for smaller firms (4,000 pages). - Managed the Handbook production team.
