Primarily involved in large Finance Transformation programme, concentrating on design of a new multi GAAP subledger concept and software for all financial and insurance assets and liabilities. Encompasses and automated approach to analytics (new business value, actual vs expected, etc), future financial statements through automated update capabilities for forecasting and planning, and simulations for US GAAP, Solvency II and IFRS17.Merger and Acquisition Insurance company valuation and Due Diligence.Audit of US-GAAP reserves and P-GAAP valuation.

 Management of Group Asset Liability Committee, including agenda planning, reviewing submitted papers and taking minutes. This high level committee covered issues such as Solvency II optimisation, the Matching Adjustment application, group liquidity and fungibility and reinsurance strategy. Led a project to close down a reinsurance treaty.

 Responsible for production of the Medium Term Business Plan providing a five-year monthly projectionof Solvency, MCEV and IFRS metrics; Experience of three solvency regimes – Hong Kong, Isle of Man and the UK; Experience of using Prophet to produce runs, retrieve results and create basis tables; Stress and scenario testing of the Business Plan and analysis of results, including feeding intoFinancial Condition Reports for regulators and into the Economic Capital team; Acting as the 'Controls Champion' which included ensuring controls were active and effective; Management of financial reinsurance treaties - calculation of payments and liaison with reinsurer; and Mentoring a junior student on their exam progress.

 Consolidating group results, primarily for MCEV and Capital metrics such as IGCA, IGD and ICA; Challenging and analysing results from business units; Developing new processes and systems in light of company acquisition growth; Improving existing processes to remove time from the year-end close timetable; Experience of the Hyperion consolidation system; Exposure to senior stakeholders e.g. CFO; and Experience of working closely with accounting colleagues.
