CBT providing both face to face and online, helping with depression, low self esteem anxiety, panic, health, OCD and trauma. My work at Circles Network as an Advocacy worker provide invaluable experience working within the mental health system. Similarly my work in education supporting pupils with ASN gave my experience with neurodiversity. My main career was as a police officer, first in Lothian and Borders Police, then Fife Constabulary and ultimately Police Scotland. I retired September 2019 as an operational Inspector.My police career was varied having spent many years as a detective officer in various departments such as CID, specialist crime division and the crime management division at the Scottish Police College. I gained many valuable skills over those years, dealing with staff, managing complex investigation, meeting with victims of serious crime and supporting them through the police investigation process. During my career I gained a diploma in training and development and later a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Operations management. I believe its important to keep learning and pushing yourself and to keep giving back to the community. It why I have completed a Level 11 Diploma to become a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. There is no doubt that my policing experience and skills have transferred across to this role and as I build experience with clients it is a privilege to help people understand, accept and move on from their own individual life experiences.
