1978 to 1986 I served as an active member of the Parachute Regiment. I participated in several extensive across boarder raids and counter-terrorism operations in various communist backed countries within Southern Africa. 1986 - 1991. Successfully completed various Intelligence Analysis, Intelligence Gathering and Counter Intelligence Courses. I completed a Basic Dems Course and an Advanced Weapons Training as well as an in house MP and CP course.1990 to 2006. I left South Africa in 1990 and based myself within the U.K. Here I went on further CP and Driving Skills Courses which included Offensive and Defensive Driving Skills. With my Military and Inteligence background I have contracted myself out as an independent military, crisis and security threat specialist and advisor. I have travelled extensively and worked in and around Europe, South America, parts of Asia, The Middle East, West Africa, North and North East Africa, Southern Central Africa, and Southern parts of Africa.During times when I was not in Contracted, I hired my services out to an already established Clientele/ Principals within the precious metals and gemstone trade.2006 to 2012. A serious and life changing injury sustained in 2004 forced me to stop active work in these fields. A lengthy period of recovery and changes curtailed me when called on to operate merely in an advisory capacity. It further allowed me the time and opportunity to adapt and use my hard earned skills in leadership, negotiation, man management, perception, instinct, initiative, motivation, tenacity, discipline, problem solving and communication skills in both writting and speaking to the business and marketing sector. 2013 - todate: In 2013 I was medically cleared to travel and work abroad again. I was offered the first proper opportunity to change career lanes and to use my adapted skills as a National Marketing/ Sales Manager within the Mechanical Engineering Industry. The opportunity whilst initially challenging has been enlightening, rewarding and successful. In my time at Ampip Engineering Pty Ltd, I have formed and moulded a strong and successful team of technical advisors. As a team and a company we have developed our service base considerably, even through these difficult times we continue to grow our "Blue Chip" clients within the Steel, Paper, Coal, Aluminium, Sugar, Mining, Manufacturing and Food Industries.
