Neil has been a artist for over 20 years he uses his experiences and passion to create my work. Neil feels that art is one of the few ways to truly express him without the constraints of a modern society.He lives in a fantastic and rugged part of the country and use photographs of the environment and life around him to inspire his work. Neil has a great sense of humour and a strong personality and he always see the funny side of life. Neil has used painting as a way of escaping from the difficulties of having dyslexia. Painting allows me to express myself in an open and creative way without the use of words. When he paints it excites him, as he never knows which road it will lead me down. Each painting is contemporary and unique with an emphasis on colour and strong images. Neil takes inspiration from Picasso, Pollock, Rembrandt and Ruebens.Neil has also been involved at the highest level within the sport of Judo representing the British Judo Association in major international events including two Olympic Games, Los Angeles 1984 where Neil gained a bronze medal and 1988 Seoul.

I am currently the Principal artist at Portland street studios in Lancaster.
