Chief Accountant
CurrentReporting directly to the Finance Director my duties include: -Preparation of management accounts which are mapped to a standard European format,including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis.Working capital management including careful monitoring of the daily, weekly and monthly cashposition to ensure that cash was available for the companies’ requirements.Preparation and filing of monthly EC sales list, Intrastat and Quarterly Vat returns.Monitor and control overhead spend which involves liaising with budget holders to discussunder/overspends and the reason for its occurrence.Assist with the preparation of the annual budgets through careful analysis of the previousspends in each overhead category in order to aid the prediction for future spendingrequirements.Day to day management of an Accountant, Purchase Ledger Clerk and Finance Assistant.Creation of internal reporting such as budget v actual IS analysis, gross margin analysis, scrapcontrol, KPI reporting and forecast v budget IS analysis.Year-end statutory reporting including liaising with auditors on preparation of statutoryaccounts/tax calculations.
