PhD thesis project. Worked with Dr. Mark Rzchowski, Dr. Chang-Beom Eom, and the UW-Madison Oxide lab to study the properties of Perovskite oxide and nitride thin films.• Augmented an experimental platform using state-of-the-art hardware and Python, adding 3 functionalities and increasing efficiency of data acquired per time by 20x.• Evaluated and troubleshot problems in new and established experimental systems across 4 electronics and tech stacks using Python, LabVIEW, vim, and git, ensuring timely, consistent, and accurate insights.• Consulted as a subject matter expert in thin-film electrical characterization using Keithley hardware with Python to help 4 other research groups efficiently and accurately design, run, and interpret experiments and insights.• Allocated resources and managed conflict resolution for scheduling and prioritization of 8 projects across 4 research groups totaling 20 people using the same equipment.• Synthesized academic research with lab-generated structured and unstructured data using Python, Numpy, and Pandas to create quantitative models and data visualizations of electron movement in crystals leading to 17 publishable discoveries.• Managed experimental research workflows from idea generation to publication, collaborating with cross-functional teams of 2 to 15, learning new tools and scientific concepts, resulting in 14 cited publications.• Continuously optimized data processes and efficiencies, and assessed the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources as well as data visualization and delivery techniques.• Designed, deployed, and maintained software systems for routine and novel experimentation on 4 experimental platforms meeting the needs of stakeholders, resulting in 3 external stakeholders repeatedly requesting collaboration.

I participated in the Astronomy department's Research Experience for Undergraduates, a competitive program that afforded me the opportunity to work under Dr Elena D'Onghia.• Edited existing magnetohydrodynamics code to simulate specific fluid-mixing situations• Analyzed feasibility of implementation and insight-applicability for continuing research• Communicated insights to fellow researchers in the UW-Madison Astronomy department.

I worked with Dr O'Shea and Dr Noel-Storr to classify brand-new X-Ray images of galaxies.• Project management starting from a collection of images and producing presentable results in a tight 3-month timeline.• Worked and learned independently to develop code that classified galaxy morphology for over 60 brand-new high-resolution images.• Communicated results of my research effort to a cross-functional audience in both Rochester and Washington DC.

I got to help with myriad tasks at a small environmental consulting firm.• Used product knowledge to combine disparate information sources to complete over 5 phase I environmental site assessments.•
