Overall responsibility for the Engineering services and New Developments teams. This includes staff management, budget control, income generation, quality assurance, and technical direction.The Engineering services team has two main roles:Building laboratory test equipment for sale. We provide state of the art dynamic scale, coreflood and corrosion equitation to a range of operators, service companies and chemical manufacturers around the world.Supporting the other technical teams in Livingston and Abu Dhabi by building standard and novel test equipment including dynamic gas test, naphthenate / emulsion flow rigs, Asphaltene, wax, high shear scale and product stability test rigs.By being both a manufacturer and users of test equipment, Scaled Solutions Ltd are well placed to understand the needs of our customers and to provide suitable and robust equipment.The New Developments team covers a number of areas:Long term R&D project either a 1 to 1 projects for clients or within Joint Industry Projects (Including the SWELL JIP on scale formation in wells).CFD and mathematical modelling of the near well bore region for squeeze and stimulation in simple and complex wells.Organic deposit characterisation, prediction in control including Naphthalenes, asphaltenes and wax.Assessing the suitability of chemical formulations for delivery via down hole capillary injection or gas lift.

The New Developments team conducts a number of Joint Industry Projects and 1-to-1 contract research / independent testing projects for the world wide oil and gas industry. The multidisciplinary team has specialists in a range or areas including mathematical modelling of scale formation and Squeeze treatments, chemical delivery, Calcium Naphthenates, emulsions, analysis of chemicals in produced fluids, and looking at the factors that control scale formation.I am currently directly involved in testing chemicals for their suitability for application and scale formation (High Temperature, High Pressure and High Shear).Further details may be found at www.scaledsolutions.com

Process chemist on building recommissioning and recommissioning for GMP manufacture of bulk Drug / API.Shift Chemist for DCS testing (DeltaV), Vessel tuning, Water Sims, Solvent sims, commsissioning batches, validation batches and into routine manufacture.

Lab based role in bulk Drug / cGMP API production site.Production support, new product / process development.
