Neil Gray has 20 years of experience with the design of urban projects and spaces. Neil is passionate about the power of the design process to create livable, sustainable communities that support diverse and dynamic growth.Neil’s extensive portfolio of successful urban mixed-use projects reflects his passion for technically challenging projects with complex programs. Neil is a strong facilitator and believes that an open, collaborative and engaging design process has the greatest potential for bringing clients and communities together around a stronger vision and successful final product.One of Neil’s most valued design tools is his pen. Whether he is sketching how a workspace flows or diagramming the next phase of a project, Neil’s abilities to quickly generate concepts and thoughts keep communication open and visualization clear among team and clients.Neil is a member of the AIA, Urban Land Institute and NAIOP, and does some guest speaking at the Urban Design conferences, NAIOP and the Kenan-Flagler Business School.Through his volunteer work for the March of Dimes and the UNC Children’s Hospital, Neil is an active advocate for community support, and for keeping a focus on the most important things in life.Neil lives in Raleigh and spends as much time as possible with his daughter Willow and wife Lisa. He is an avid triathlete and if he’s not at work or with his family, you’ll find him on the bike, in the pool, or running in the woods.Neil received his Master of Architecture and his Bachelor of Environmental Studies from University of Manitoba.
