• Provide general instructions to the fleet• Provide voyage instructions to individual vessels• Appoint port agents, check and approve PDA’s and FDA’s• Ensure technical managers have valid SIRE reports for all vessels• Maintain vessel questionnaires, and HVPQ data• Performance monitoring• Monitor vessel movement and voyage results• Ensure compliance with charter parties• Bills of lading, LOI’s and cargo delivery• Prepare freight, dead freight, hire and war risk AP’s, and claims invoices• Monitor and register off-hire and idle time• Provide port, vessel and cargo stowage information to the Chartering Department during fixture negotiation and finalisation• Bunker claims in respect of shortages / off spec fuel• Develop and maintain close business relations with customers, terminals, port agents and other relevant parties
