Medium Pressure & large diameter Gas mains replacementI applied for this Position in 2017 to further my knowledge & development in a much more complex work type & broaden my understanding of Planning & the industry as a whole. Due to the vast size, impact & complex nature of our works my position involves regular high level liaison with Local Authorities, TFL & other Utilities on every Project. Permit creation & management of Traffic Orders, TM, Parking restrictions etc. Conducting presentations & briefings for Local Authorities & liaising with our Comms Company to ensure our projects are given the appropriate level of attention with regarding to businesses and Residents. Building & maintaining good relationships between ourselves & Third Parties is essential to the management of our work. This is something I enjoy greatly & I feel my people skill in this area is one of my greatest strengths.

When the Triio contract with National Grid started i was responsible for the Planning & maintaining of a programme of works for around 40 Subcontractor teams on Small Diameter works & building the yearly programme/Baselines in Primavera. Overtime the position grew to include a great deal of tasks & responsibilities - Holding regular programme meetings, recording & reporting on weekly meterage, Managing our critical mains programme, Raising Permits & Traffic orders for Major mains replacement, Liaising with the design team to request project amendments, realignments & de-scopes, liaising with the Data Capture team regarding information on DR4’s or discrepancies with mains abandonment records & attending regular meetings with all local authorities to review the ongoing & upcoming works in their borough to build strong working relationships between Triio & the Stakeholder.

I joined the planning team in 2017 and was trained on ow to build programmes of work & manage the planning workload for mains replacement on what was at that time a smaller meterage contract. This gave me the opportunity to develop & build my skills over time ahead of moving into larger contracts with increased pressures & demands. After several years of development I was promoted to Supervisor & was responsible for managing a team of 2 planners & a CDM Pack Co-ordinator. Between us we built & maintained the programme of small diameter replacement works in the South East.

My main duties within the period of employment with Telewest/Virgin Media was dealing with Wayleaves, subcontractors programme of works, reviewing & paying their invoices, responding to plant enquiries from Utilities & dealing with street works enquiries.

As the accounts officer it was my role to liaise between the parents of families which are no longer together and live apart so have created an account to pay child maintenance through. this account is managed by an officer who deals with all their calls, payments and history relating to their specific case.
