I built a FinTech SaaS Google Sheets Add-On in JavaScript for stock market investors to manage their portfolios, integrating Stripe endpoints & published on Google Workspace Marketplace via Google Cloud Platform, which required Google’s OAuth 2.0 verification; built the web-site and wrote the T&Cs.

B2B marketing for the group (Hodge Clemco, Victor Marine, Teknequip and RLBS).• Worked with the Sales & Marketing Director to develop a marketing strategy.• Built, maintained and improved several company websites: a responsive Hodge Clemco website (twice), a Victor Marine website, an EnviraSponge brand website, a Samuel Hodge group website and a Teknequip website. I collaborated with marketing and sales colleagues to provide a solution that met their requirements.• Configured & used Google Analytics to analyse web traffic to steer improvements.• Managed the Google Ads (PPC) campaigns, with support from Google’s team.• Designed all promotional material - corporate and product brochures/flyers.• Managed MailChimp to allow customers to subscribe to a company newsletter via the website, and wrote the newsletter for email marketing.• Created technical 3D animations.• Designed an interactive manual using Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS with every product.• Designed and organised the publication of adverts in trade magazines.• Worked with the PR agency to advertise Hodge Clemco customer stories in trade magazines and posted the articles on the website blog and Facebook.• Visited the Teknequip managers in Poland to discuss their needs for a new website, and to film their products and produce a corporate video.• Booked & organised exhibitions and associated advertising, and planned the stand layout, designing artwork for backdrops and pop-up stands.• Posted company news on Facebook and product videos on YouTube.• Designed and outsourced the production of signs e.g. the main company sign.

I designed, maintained and supported absence management software that I built using Visual Basic in Excel, collaborating with managers to meet business requirements. The software was used by all Royal Mail delivery offices nationwide. As a result paperwork was cut dramatically and absence reporting rejections tumbled from 26% to 5%. Official feedback from a manager in Manchester was: “At last someone has come up with a user friendly system which saves us time and effort. Thankyou!”. Managers from a number of departments came to me for technical support.

I wrote geographical information systems software and provided post-sales technical support, tested software and authored technical user-guides. One of the most challenging and rewarding projects was nine months spent in South Korea as a consultant and software engineer for Korea Telecom in a team formed to develop mobile telephone cell planning software. I delivered many one-week internal & external software training courses, from the initial hardware and software installation, to presenting the course and supporting users during training exercises. I worked with Windows and Unix systems.
