Shrewsbury born and bred, I joined WR Partners (formerly Whittingham Riddell) after leaving Sixth Form College in July 2000.I studied and achieved both my MAAT and FCCA qualifications whilst working in our non audit Business Services department. I then spent 6 years in our audit department before rejoining Business Services as a client manager in 2013. In 2016, I gained promotion to Senior Manager and Team Leader of the Business Services Team.Business Services looks after many of the firms non audit, owner managed businesses, and provides a wide variety of accounting and taxation services for our clients. The team itself comprises around 20 members of staff, each of whom work closely with our clients to help them and their businesses be as successful as possible.In October 2020, I took the opportunity to re-join the firm's audit department as a Senior Manager to help cover a period of absence. In October 2020 the opportunity arose to help WR Partners establish an advisory service offering to our clients. I was promoted to Director of our Financial Advisory team in March 2024. My role currently is split between Corporate Finance/Transactional assignments (whether helping clients sell their business, or acquire new businesses), and Forensic Accounting assignments (which can vary wildly in their size and complexity).
