As a Client Facing Project Manager and Consultant to and working closely with Welsh Waters’ NAM / LAM and PCM teams on the replacement, refurbishment or repair of various above or below ground network assets or minor civil projects, as required, on their sewer network throughout South, Mid and West Wales. Advising on the most cost effective and best methods of repair or replacement to each asset prior to scoping up the works, estimating or pricing, submitting quotes, attending client meetings and negotiating costs and timescales.Taking charge of each project from initiation (RAMS, Site induction, H&S file, etc.), organising, planning and programming the works prior to issuing work packages to sub-contractors or direct labour, through to successful completion / handover and final accounts settlement. Monitoring H&S via auditing through the life of each project.From September 2014 - December 2014 I also managed the smooth transition of a newly won contract for the county of Carmarthenshire under Welsh Waters’ reactive and maintenance contract to Peter Duffy Ltd, ensuring that all sub-contractors engaged complied with all Health & Safety, quality as well as client and company policies. Schemes vary from construction works such as R.C. and steel frame structures and foundations, concreting and drainage renewal / refurbishment. The repair of long length sewer pipes utilising pipe bursting techniques or continuous structural liner (ambient, U.V. and hot cure), patch lining for localised repairs or traditional Dig and Relay. Also rising main repair or renewal.
