About Neil Laker
I have more than 37 years experience as a sedimentologist. After starting out as a mudlogger, I have worked for Gearhart, Core Laboratories and Haliiburton Reservoir Services. The last 29 years have been spent with Oolithica Geoscience, working as a consultant and also running the business, the latter including running payroll, HR, HSE, Office Management, Accounts / Finance, and Software purchase and maintainance.I have a wide range of experience across Europe, Africa , the Middle East and Asia working on projects ranging from regional evaluations to reservoir development studies. One of my key strengths is the ability to integrate multidisciplinary datasets within studies, which is greatly facilitated by my ability to undertake seismic stratigraphy and seismic facies interpretation in addition to well based studies. I have also undertaken a number of fieldwork programs, most recently in Manipur, India.In addition to working as a Geologist I also volunteer as a youth football coach / team manager. So far England have declined to use my services.
