Responsibilities• Strategically leading Bord Gáis Networks’ environmental action planning for current and future operations • Developing and setting the environmental policy• Driving compliance with policy through environmental awareness programmes• Developing an ‘Environmental Management System’• Considering opportunities for innovative environmental practices

I was responsible for identification, development and implementation of initiatives required to ensure Bord Gáis compliance and beyond with all safety obligations.Influenced and enhanced the BGÉ safety culture and provided invaluable input to safety management activities such as risk assessments, accident / incident investigations, audits etc.

Primary role to review operational procedures and issued recommendations on process improvements.

- Sole responsibility for plant compliance with Integrated Pollution Prevention Control (IPPC) license and for all environmental reporting to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a Seveso II site. - Responsible for the day to day management, administration and development of the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) / asset management system.

•Aided in the implementation of a plant Asset Management System by assessing the total plant, equipment criticality and reliability. Set up of total plant ID system and associated maintenance requirements. •Involved in benchmarking and strategy development to outsource activities within maintenance and facilities departments. •Managed and developed existing engineering systems including lubrication management with the use of handheld technology, CMMS, oil analysis and Thermography to integrate with pre established vibration analysis
