Bp - Kinneil Rlpg

Working on the Chill down Project at the BP Refrigerated Liquid Petroleum Gas (RLPG) site in Grangemouth, I work as part of the Control of Work Team to deliver optimum HSE performance whilst ensuring all operational and project activity is carried out safely and with minimum impact to the environment & local communities.As well as building and issuing Permits on ECoW, I am required to carry out safe preparation, isolation and reinstatement of equipment undergoing construction and maintenance. Monitor conditions in the field and use knowledge / skills / experience to intervene where required maintaining a safe working environment. As it is a time driven project I work to make sure that activities progress in line with agreed plan/timeline and highlight any potential issues impacting on delivery.

Bp Sullom Voe Oil Terminal

Process Operations directly supporting the commissioning and operational readiness of Projects at the BP Sullom voe Terminal.I support the CoW team through Permit preparation, designing and implementing process isolations to meets SIRPS standard through to process preparation of equipment. My commissioning activities include drafting operations procedures, leak testing, line walks, tri-party walkdowns and progressing GoC on behalf of Operations. This will also include providing asset support and training for the initial start-up and stabilisation of the projects.

Scotland

I have been worked as a Shift Availability Supervisor responsible for the safe and reliable operation of both the Polymers Assets at Grangemouth PP3 (Polypropylene) and IN4 (Polyetheylene).The purpose of my role is to identify and manage all resources required to safely deliver the asset production plan and associated manufacturing targets. Provide assurance that all operating boundaries are adhered to on the plant through the various sections such as Feed Treatment, Refridgeration, Gas Compression, Degassing/Seperation, Utilities, Exothermic Reactor and Extrusion. Ensure that all checks and routine activities are completed to the agreed standard to ensure safe, reliable and optimized asset performance.

Scotland

Working on the Polypropylene & Polyethylene Plant at Grangemouth in Scotland as a Production Technician and Control Room Operator.In this role there was a requirement for flexibility and as such I worked on both the outside jobs on the Plant (Reaction/Extrusion) and also carried out the role of operating the Plant from the Foxboro DCS as a Control Room Operator. In each role I was able to start-up/control/shutdown the plant in a safe and efficient manner. Included in my tasks I reviewed and assisted in the writing of the Operating Instructions, COSHH Assessments and Task Based Risk Assessments. I also issued Risk Assessed Permits, carryout Gas Testing Electrical Isolations, proficient in PI, SAP and Maximo. I carried out sampling of powder and pellet in the Plant Laboratory as required ensuring the product remains on specification and also for classification purposes.

Grangemouth Scotland

Working on the Polypropylene & Polyethylene Plant at Grangemouth in Scotland where I was part of the original commissioning team as a Production Technician.In this role there was a requirement for flexibility and as such I worked on both the outside jobs on the Plant (Reaction/Extrusion) and also carried out the role of operating the Plant from the Foxboro DCS as a Control Room Operator. In each role I was able to start-up/control/shutdown the plant in a safe and efficient manner. As the Plant is single train there was a requirement to work quickly under pressure using my skills and experience to diagnose and safely fix any problems which arose. Included in this was the preparation of plant equipment for maintenance and where required carrying out maintenance as necessary. Included in my tasks I reviewed and assisted in the writing of the Operating Instructions, COSHH Assessments and Task Based Risk Assessments. I also issued Risk Assessed Permits, carryout Gas Testing Electrical Isolations, proficient in PI, SAP and Maximo.
