My background in private equity, debt and equity raising and as an operational CFO offer a strong mix of expertise and experience. An accountant by training, I offer more than 20 years of executive financial services experience in private equity, private debt, real estate and administration sectors in Investment, Fund, Trust, and Private Wealth companies, which includes open and closed ended listings on the LSE, JSE, BSX and TISE.My recent career has been as an Executive Director at a well-known market leading REIT, I worked with a senior team to successfully run an investment trust that owns and manages a diversified portfolio of industrial properties across the UK in addition to managing their own fund structures. In this role I oversaw the fund management, investor relations, risk planning, and regulatory compliance functions, as well as the operations, fund raising, tax planning and performance of the in-house real estate property advisor and administrator. I played a significant role in the listing of the REIT on the London Stock Exchange and the unwinding of the related structures (England, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Bermuda, BVI, Cayman Islands, Germany and Switzerland). Before this I had 10 years of experience in Private Equity in various roles including being CFO of a spin off from Soc Gen. I understand the PE model and how businesses are run to provide growth and returns for the investors. With my experience on investment committees, audit and risk committees, I offer the ability to model, assess and select investments for the PE fund and then integrate these. My experience in financial services brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to support the allocation of investor funds, external debt and equity raising, and the potential of Initial Offering or sale of assets. I believe my skills are important today in gaining the best return for the investors and ensuring that the demands of regulators are met in many different jurisdictions. More than once have I built back offices from a zero start, recruiting, training, and maintaining a strong team in multiple jurisdictions.
