The Ifpra Academy recognizes that there are park professionals who continually impact the international profession. The Certified International Park Professional (CIPP) is the highest designation achieved through the Ifpra Academy. The Urban Specialist Group of IUCN's World Commission on ProtectedAreas is concerned with the many links between human settlements andlarger environments, focusing on the particular role of protected areas. The specialist group came out of discussions that started in 2000 amongseveral people long active in IUCN who were concerned about the absence ofurban dimensions on the global conservation agenda. This informal groupfound that others active in IUCN had been thinking along the same lines,and the circle gradually widened.

Presently I sit on the Melbourne Water Liveability panel that is exploring the key role of waterways in creating a liveable Melbourne.

The North East CMA is responsible for coordinating integrated catchment management and sustainable land and water use in Victoria's North East.We are directly responsible for:Managing river healthManaging floodplainsCoordinating water quality managementSupporting Landcare groups and other community based natural resource management groupsAdministering regional funding and grantsFacilitating access to external grant programsThe CMA assists in the development of regional natural resource management priorities. Our work in these areas is guided by the North East Regional Catchment Strategy, which is a twenty year strategy that sets the direction for investment in natural resource management across the region.We track and report our progress towards achieving Regional Catchment Strategy targets through an annual report on the condition and management of land & water resources. This report forms part of our Annual Report.

Ifpra became World Urban Parks in 2014 where I became Deputy ChairWas appointed as World President-Elect for this significant International body responsible for directions in urban parks.

Ifpra is the unique international organisation that represents parks, recreation, amenity, cultural, leisure and related services. The official language of the Federation is English, but other languages may also be used. Over fifty nations are represented within Ifpra. The Federation has no political affiliations.

During the Ifpra Asia-Pacific Conference with the PLA, was installed as the new Chair for Asia-Pacific Region of the International Federation of Parks and Recreation

The Parks Forum Council of Trustees play an important role in the future health and development of our parks in Australia and New Zealand through their guidance and development of park based programs initiated by Parks Forum.Trustees may come from any different walks of life. They are senior people who have established a high level of respect for the work they have done and their life achievements.Our Trustees carry the message of the crucial value of parks to the health of society and environment, and provide strategic advice and leadership to the organisation.

Parks Forum is the industry peak body for parks management agencies throughout Australia and New Zealand. Incorporated in 2004, our organisation represents agencies which have the management and stewardship responsibility for the full range of parks across the parks spectrum, from smaller urban parklands and forests, through to larger wilderness areas. The organisation has emerged from the work of key leaders across the parks industry in Australia and New Zealand over some years, driven by a series of key industry issues and challenges. These issues demonstrate the need for a focus on supporting and coordinating Federal, State and Local Governments and Authorities which are responsible for managing our extensive range of parks.

As Vice-President designed and guided the strategic review of Ifpra over the last two years. a very successful outcome.

In 2011, I become Chair of the Asia-Pacific region for the International Federation of Parks and Recreation Administration

The division has a statewide role and provides Parks Victoria with functional expertise in a range of areas. Specialist support includes the provision of policy and strategy, statewide program coordination and the provision of specialist advice.
