As part of my Northern Trust functions I am the development manager for Lanley Homes. Lanley Homes provide high quality small volume housing developments of up to 20 units. I provide site acquisition, development design, development management and disposal functions for Lanley.Lanley requires residential development sites of between half an acre and 3 acres within the north west of England. I have provided a range of asset management functions for Whittle Jones clients commercial property portfolios. These have included managing refurbishment programmes, reducing costs, reducing voids and maximising income.Key projects include:-15 Whitehall - The refurbishment of the 5th and 6th floors of this London office building and re-letting prior to an off market investment disposal. This was a complex refurbishment given the property's location on the corner of Whitehall and Trafalgar Sq. Baden Place, Crosby Row, Southwark - A substantial refurbishment of this south London property. Reducing the void from over 50% to fully let, followed by an investment disposal.350,000 sq.ft. Office Portfolio in the Home Counties and Midlands - Asset Management of a multi site office portfolio. The portfolio was running a void north of 40% during the market low point. undertaking and managing a range of targeted refurbishments, as well as service charge cost management programmes to bring the portfolio back to around a 10% void with a significantly increased income profile. Managing the investment disposal at an undisclosed figure to Hansteen.This portfolio also saw me manage the development of the Innovate brand of small easy in easy out office suites to generate lettings during a very difficult market period. This product has since been rolled out across a number of other portfolios following its success.Salisbury House, St Helier, Jersey - Managing the refurbishment of this 25,000 sq.ft. office and retail property. Taking the void from 45% to fully let. Undertaking lease re-gears on the existing leases and managing the investment disposal.Tower House, Douglas, Isle of Man - Undertaking asset management of this multi let property to reduce service charge costs and non recoverable costs. Developing a letting strategy to increase income and reduce void. Managing targeted refurbishments of the suites to increase letting potential.

I work across a number of the Northern Trust Group companies, including Northern Trust, Whittle Jones and Metacre. My role involves development management and asset management functions across a range of new and existing commercial development sites and property portfolios. I also work on strategic land projects as well as in house residential development and joint venture housing schemes.Commercial Development Completion of a range of industrial and office developments across the north of England and Scotland. Key projects include:-Development managing Northern Trust's first Scottish development at Grangemouth from planning through to completion and letting. A mixed use scheme of small to medium sized industrial units and a range of stand alone and terraced office buildings.Acquisition and planning approval for a mixed use development at Gerards Bridge in St Helens for office, trade and Industrial uses. A complex local authority owned site with significant problems. These included shallow mine workings to be grouted, mine shafts to be capped, a range of heavy metals and other contaminants such as arsenic in the ground and a liberal scattering of Japanese Knot Weed on the surface. Negotiated European funding for the site remediation.Development of a number of Industrial parks across the north west including Elder Court at Shadsworth Business Park, Elm Court in Warrington.Development of office parks across the north west including Hollinsbrook Park in Bury and Sandbrook Business Park in Rochdale.

I was responsible for asset management of the retained commercial portfolio. I also managed the leasing and disposal of a significant number of commerial premises developed by the company. I provided development specification advice and was also involved in site identification and appraisal. During my time with Gladman I managed the investment disposal of significant office portfolio's in excess of £50m.

My role at GVA Grimley was within the office agency department dealing with city centre offices and out of town business park premises. I provided a range of acquisition, disposal and development advice to retained clients. I left GVA Grimley having been approached by a client to run their in house surveying and asset management team where I was responsible for looking after a significant existing commercial portfolio and pipeline of new developments.
