I was responsible for managing the University's partnership with FutureLearn, developing our online education portfolio and leading on design, development, production and evaluation. This involved instigating and improving processes and workflows for online learning design, development and evaluation that lead to a consistent and scalable approach, and guiding and training others in design for online learning.I worked alongside academics to design and produce online courses and programmes, this entailed defining overall objectives, learning outcomes and target audiences, co-creating storyboards, audio and video scripts, engaging learning activities and course content using a range of digital media and platforms.I also provided consultancy, pedagogic advice, guidance and support in relation to the design and production of online courses and effective use of educational technology to a range of different stakeholders.I acted as the digital learning design lead on the Welsh Government funded MFL Mentoring project and the Department for Education funded Language Horizons project in England.
