I am a self-motivated and resourceful Director with excellent leadership and communication skills with over 33 years’ experience in regeneration and place shaping through preparation of Local Plans, Master Planning, delivering significant infrastructure & regeneration projects and building sustainable communities. I have developed a deep understanding of the needs of the development industry with the ability to establish and maintain partnerships with developers, investors, stakeholders and public organisations, to attract and facilitate new investment for the benefit of local communities.I am passionate about engaging and assisting local communities to improve life chances and reduce poverty through place shaping that focuses on fostering inclusive growth in employment and housing development, and in delivering local priorities for physical and social regeneration of deprived neighbourhoods. I am particularly skilled at leading and managed significant transformational change in Council services and working in a political environment. Over the last 15 years at more than one Council, I have improved customer focus in systems and work practices and driven up performance and reduced costs. I am currently in the market for Interim placements in Planning, Regeneration, and Communities, at either an operational management or strategic leadership level.
