Head of specifications for AECOM Middle East; leading a team of Specification Consultants producing Architectural, Interior Design, Landscape, MEP and Structural/ Civil Engineering Specifications on education, healthcare, residential, retail, leisure, commercial and industrial projects.

Senior Specification Consultant responsible for producing Architectural Specifications for projects of values ranging from £20m to in excess of £100m across Residential, Education, Leisure, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality and Sports projects for UK and overseas projects/ clients.Primarily producing CAWS/ Uniclass specifications, but also CSI and bespoke specification formats for various RIBA Work Stages, typically stages C through to G. Experience with NBS, but most specifications are produced using specialist in-house software to create Architectural Specifications that are aligned with and tailored to suit project procurement route and design responsibilities.Also responsible for the development of and maintenance of a client specific baseline for an international architectural practice. The baseline has been extensively used to produce bespoke specifications on many Education, Health and Retail projects for UK and Middle East projects.Other roles include the research and review of industry technical standards and common practices for the development and maintenance of the primary baseline used for the in-house specification suite.Specification development is through the integration with the Design Team and other associated consultants to understand and help realise the Architects design, developing a specification that will reflect the design intent whilst acknowledging design responsibilities through performance and/ or product based specifications.
