As Finance Director I have ultimate responsibility for the financial control and stewardship of the business, including the following:• Working as part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) to determine strategic direction, identify market opportunities and to ensure delivery of the strategic direction at an operational level; • Overall control of the monthly management accounting process including review of the management accounts and presentation to other Board Members;• Working with key internal stakeholders (SMT and Sales Directors) to determine budgets and forecasts and actively monitor performance against these budgets;• Providing guidance to the human resource function in terms of recruitment and broader HR matters including award of promotion, bonuses and salary reviews, management of performance related employee issues and compliance with legal and regulatory framework;• Key relationship holder with bankers, auditors, tax advisors and payroll companies (UK and Switzerland)• Responsibility for managing cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity exists within the business;• Review of profitability of client engagements to ensure that our propositions remain profitable, regardless of the external budget pressure from client personnel;• Review and approval of significant contracts in order to ensure best value for money is achieved.

As Group Financial Controller at PKR Technologies Limited I headed-up the finance team on a day to day basis and reported directly to the CFO.The group is constituted of four companies, being a service company (UK based) and three operational online gaming companies, based in France, Italy and the Channel Islands. My responsibilities included the following: - completion of the month end consolidated management accounts including consolidation of entities with multiple functional currencies;- acting as prime point of contact with external auditors and ensuring that the consolidated statutory audit and all subsidiary level audits were completed within defined timeframes;- submission of weekly, monthly and annual regulatory returns in relation to each group company;- dealing with third party professional service companies in order to ensure that the group tax position is actively monitored and an appropriate tax strategy is deployed;- preparing and monitoring entity level forecasts and adapting these to changes in the regulatory landscape;- actively monitoring the group cash position to ensure that sufficient liquidity was available to exploit market opportunities;- management of a team of finance professionals.In addition to these responsibilities I performed a number of ad hoc tasks in partnership with the CFO.

Following completion of my undergraduate degree in 2004 I commenced employment with Deloitte in their audit practice and worked towards becoming a Chartered Accountant (ACA).As my experience grew I gained several promotions within the firm culminating in a promotion to audit manager within the South-East Financial Services practice. During my time with Deloitte I managed engagements in a number of business sectors including financial services, manufacturing and entrepreneurial business and built specialist skills in the areas of UK GAAP, IFRS and financial instruments.
