  Responsibilities· Delivery of the Traincare Centre Maintenance Daily Plan and Additional specific projects to the project plan – all customers.· Control of resources to include the management of Annual Leave / Rosters and Over time· Ensure work is performed in a safe, effective manner and in accordance with the H&S at Work Act, Rules and Regulations, Railway Group Standards and Alstom Policies and Procedures.· Direct and mentor Production Managers so as to ensure efficient utilisation of staff and resources in order to achieve contractual targets and targets as may be set by the Depot Manager from time to time.· Plan and allocate work through the Production Managers to ensure production targets are met following the production plan.· Produce a weekly report including KPI’s on performance.· Maintain good industrial relations within area of responsibility, implementing disciplinary procedures for any serious staff irregularities - maintain a well-disciplined work force.· Proactive in identifying areas for improvement by personal check, analysis of trains incident reports and complaints, initiating action to ensure improvements.· Assist in the preparation of manpower forecasts, Production Budgets and effectively control costs.· Responsible for ensuring IT system SAP is updated and where required concluded in relation to work done.· Ensure staff under your control are trained and developed in accordance with Alstom development of people policies. Agree training plan with training department every month.· Ensure that where applicable, documented Quality procedures are adhered to and that ‘owned’ quality procedures are maintained and developed accordingly.· To communicate with all members of staff by means of one-to-one meetings, formal and informal discussions, Technical, Quality, Safety and General team briefings, KPI’s etc.· Deputise for Depot Manager as and when required.
