The project workstream of Process & Policy needed to be built from the ground up. Working with the client workstream Manager my role was to...- Develop approach and framework for Policy development and business process transformation- Manage the on boarding of IBM & client staff into the department - Manage IBM & client staff tasking and day to day management- Facilitate transformation of business functional process by the business- Deliver the new and transformed policies and cross functional processes for the business to support the Teamcenter Release.Project Contribution:- Developed and delivered approach, framework and methodology for process transformation- Built department up from a mix of IBMers and client staff from 2 people to an eventual team 8 people- Delivered cross functional process for Release 2 successfully and in line with program schedule- Facilitated the transformation of business PLM processes in light of new technology and working practices

Application Retirement and Long Term PreservationAIRBUSProject Description: Project goal was to establish a clear position from both a regulatory and business point of view to enable application retirement. Develop work products and process to facilitate the retirement of applications which may produce certification related data.- Whitepaper- IT Policy Paper - Portfolio Analysis and Deep Dive Application Assessment Methodology- Amendments of client Project Management method to incorporate and embed elements of above assets.I was leader of this consulting project Project Contribution: I co-authored the whitepaper and presented this jointly with the client at the European CATIA Forum in November 2009.I was jointly responsible for the work products deatiled above and was the key point of contact on this project. In addition I presented and facilitated meetings to all client NATCO's in order to build common consensus and wide adoption of the process and method.

Bentley Motors Ltd - ENOVIA ImplementationProject Description:Project Manager of IBM team partnering with customer in deploying Dassault Systemes ENOVIA and CATIA V5 on two new car programmes to 215 users.I was responsible for all aspects of the IBM delivery into the client and reporting back into IBM which including on and off site team management, project resourcing, financials.Project Contribution: Developed and closed opportunity working with Associate Partner- Developed scope of work. - Established project managment process's - Engaged and setup delivery team of 9 people - Setup GD delivery centre for client in IBM Pune, India- Responsible for the client satisfactrion and management of IBM team- Subsequently manage the development and implementation of the solution

Supplier Issue Resolution - AIRBUSProject Description:Investigate supplier complaint and prescribe corrective actions required. This project had a high profile within the aircraft programme due to the level at which it had been raised by the supplier.Project Contribution: Consulted across client UK & France bases and Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers. Provided report on issues found, corrective actions to be taken. Subsequently conducted initial workshop and project plan aligned with the programme for deployment of solution.

Bentley Motors Ltd - Premier Automotive ManufacturerA complicated IBM contract comprising of a fixed price outsource support services and T&M services. Support services contract comprised of on site specialists providing second level support, off-site Storage Manager and second level off-site support for specialist IBM applications.Role: Project ExecutiveResponsible for delivery of both operational support services and T&M services, which included - Customer satisfaction- SLA adherence- Critical issue resolution- Personnel management of 26 people. On-site specialist and liaison with IBM off-site team. In addition was responsible for managing both projects and finances for IBM.

Bombardier Aerospace - PLM Readiness AssessmentProject Description: To consult with engineering project and procurement teams to develop a PLM readiness assessment to be used to assess suppliers being brought onto a new aircraft program. The primary aim of this exercise was to de-risk the supplier engagement process from a CAD perspective.Project Contribution: Sole consultant working with this customer. Developed a PLM readiness assessment for suppliers being brought onto new aircraft program. - Consulted across business for key attributes required- Developed and got agreement of key supplier attributes and developed a method for both evaluation and analysis. In addition to this performed assessments on suppliers and also contributed, as a result of consultation with the client to the contractual documents they were creating with suppliers.

HONDA F1 - Pre-Sales Electrical BenchmarkProject Description: CATIA V5 Electrical subject matter expert engaged to assist CATIA V5 sales in client.Project Contribution: Provided technical demonstrations and delivered the subsequent technical benchmark for the CATIA V5 Electrical functionality. Enabling the customer to see how this could improve the current electrical design process for F1 development beyond the current tools in use.

Bentley Motors Ltd - CAD Roadmap / StrategyWorking with the CAD Manager consulted via interviews across the engineering business, understanding and gathering pains, issues and business requirements. Analysis of these resulted in the development of key competencies and also a measurement scale. Subsequently developed a CAD roadmap document for the client. This has been used to produce a 5 year CAD plan and also to gain business justification for CAD direction. The work has been praised within the client and also in the parent group.

Rolls-Royce Aerospace - PLM Technologies for Aero Engine ExternalsProject Description:Pilot of CATIA V5 in the customers Aero Engine Externals team. The pilot aim was to deliver the Flight Test Instrumentation for a new aero engine using CATIA V5. To facilitate the pilot IBM installed the infrastructure of servers, clients, backup services and network to facilitate the pilot. Project Contribution:Role 1: Technical Team Leader Responsible for all aspect of IBM’s technical delivery and customer satisfaction to the client externals team which won praise from the customer for IBM’s professionalism and knowledge. Role 2 : Electrical ConsultantResponsible for technical excellence of electrical delivery.Initially understood the customers business requirements and then evolved Process, Methodologies and working practices to enable the customer to deliver the project using CATIA V5Liased with the software partner Dassault Systemes to deliver fixes and enhancements to meet the customers project timescales and increase customer satisfactionDeveloped with Dassault Systemes a demonstration of ENOVIA LCA electrical capability for selling into the customer.

BAE Systems Military Aircraft - Consultancy to Digital Product Development TeamProvided consultancy to client Digital Product Assembly development department to support two concurrent aircraft projects, focusing on the Electrical toolset, process and methodologies. Working with not only client but also with its partners within the consortium. I was used as the clients consultant in meetings with its partners and suppliers. In addition I provided consultancy as an electrical process and tools “hit man” across the both aircraft projects as issues arose. Notable successes were…Developed a new “fit, form and function” definition for one aircraft project with potential savings of £600K per year per variant type.Assisted in the new “Fit, Form and Function” changes being approved across the aircraft program consortium

Before any new release of CATIA was to be deployed, extensive testing was required not only the functionality and interfaces, but also the business process.I successfully led a small team of IBM, Sub-contract and BAE staff to undertake and complete this work

BAE Systems Military AircraftElectrical Process Mapping LeadLead small team of 3 client personnel utilising IBM DESIGNFLOW techniques to define the AS-IS process for Electrical Design and Manufacture across the airrcaft project. This mapping exercise was successfully performed in a difficult and politically charged environment, as the project was late for a large payment milestone and the process was required in order to achieve this. This milestone was achieved and the team was asked to carry out a similar exercise for another airrcaft project.

Responsible for concept designs and styling of aircraft interiors for 146 / RJ. Developed a complete new interior concept for RJ aircraft which included bins, sidewall, roof panels and attendants seat.Evaluated market of 3D computer graphic visualisation tools, developed business case and implemented BAE Commercial Aircraft’s first 3D computer graphic visualisation system for marketing and future project work.
