After several years of thinking about it, in 2017 I decided to take a long-term break from the investment business. After 21 years (1,092 weeks) in the industry I simply wanted to do other things. I'm proud of what I've accomplished. But life is short and I've been doing the same thing for a long time. I want to allocate my time more creatively and out of my comfort zone more often. Also, after being so focused on professional endeavors, I want to have more balance and cultivate other aspects of my life. My “to do” list spans everything from family travel and personal investing to business start-up and writing ideas. Eventually, my goal is to narrow my attention to a select group of projects---business, creative and non-profit.
