Managing of all Holywell stocks and steel colour coat products for both Holywell and Kingscourt production plants, providing training for all staff and problem solving for the whole department. Responsible for materials to keep the lines running at optimum levels, maintaining output and quality of all products, liaising with customer services, warranties, commercial, marketing and technical department.Key Responsibilities• Contribute to strategy formulation and forward planning as a member of the management team.• Optimise materials against targets by developing on going forecasting systems to minimise stock whilst maximising service levels.• Part of Divisional Steel, Aluminium & Colour coat purchasing.• Harmonise customer demand with stock at specific production facilities.• Collate all daily and weekly production figures and produce management reports, develop key planning, indicators, reports and graphs. • Research and review existing budgets and present a more cost effective plan for infrastructure and support expenditure.• Manage all supplier activity, delegate tasks to staff; ensure products are inspected for quality, train staff on new products. • Manage weekly material complaints always ensuring swift response to minimise warranty costs, ensuring full corrective actions are implemented.• Manage material quality and warranty issues, ensuring full financial recovery.• Chair monthly / quarterly meetings to benchmark material suppliers on quality, service and price.• Ensure all materials are delivered on time and in full to suit production schedules.• Support production projects to reduce scrap / own damage, implement new and innovative processes / ideas.• Ensure all stock are checked / audited and reported back to finance department.• Meeting with suppliers to agree SLA’s • Meeting with suppliers to develop technical improvements

• Ensuring correct manning levels are available to cover all shifts • The training of all man power• Monitoring Best Practice of coil storage• Ensuring stock and stock locations are correct at all times• Undertaking and confirming Monthly Stock Checks • Controlling Plant to Plant transfers• Ensuring coils are available to meet schedule for all lines • Monitoring coil availability for Slit Schedule• Actioning SAP Production Schedules / allocation of coils • Ensuring Housekeeping standards for the coil bay and all coil storage areas are kept to a high standard• Re-cycling of all cardboard and paper products • Investigating complaints and attending warranty meetings• Schedule slit line• Taking responsibility for the management of the department in the absence of the current manager
