My role involves collaborating with school leaders to develop actionable plans that reduce carbon footprints and promote sustainable practices. As Head of School at Al Batinah International School (ABIS), I played a pivotal role in steering this transformative $26 million CSR initiative, which was a collaboration between major governmental shareholders and private stakeholders to revolutionize education in northern Oman. My leadership extended far beyond operational management, encompassing strategic vision and executive decision-making to ensure the project’s success.Working closely with key stakeholders, I guided the investment to ensure alignment with educational excellence and community needs. From conceptualization to implementation, I oversaw the design and construction of innovative learning facilities and spearheaded the development of progressive pedagogical approaches. This included introducing a 1:1 iPad program, implementing online student portfolios, and leading a fully transparent and articulated curriculum development process.A key milestone during my tenure was achieving fast-tracked authorization for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which significantly elevated the school’s academic standing in the region. Additionally, I worked with the board to create a measurable strategic planning process, ensuring accountability and long-term sustainability for the project.Through a combination of strategic leadership and hands-on engagement, I helped position ABIS as a beacon of innovative education in the Middle East, demonstrating how targeted investment and a clear vision can transform learning and community impact.
