My first role in Mitie has been the mobilisation of the Lloyds Banking Group Integrated FM contract. The contract itself is the biggest FM contract to date for Mitie worth a minimum of £750m over 5 years.Joining 3 months before contract commencement, my role has been:- to externally recruit a Finance team of 6 in the new Mitie office created for the contract in Leeds.- with 11 individual operational Mitie areas involved (along with their Finance teams), ensuring each understand the contract for their own area along with the central reporting requirements.- helping each Mitie business with the development of their reporting structures to fit with the central consolidation requirements (involving significant IT investment to be rolled out to existing Mitie contracts).- to create the monthly processes to ensure the control of the consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.- ensure LBG experienced a seamless transition upon contract commencement.- ensure we can support the change governance and billing required for the contract.With the permanent FC for the contract recruited and due to start at the beginning of January 2013, my next Mitie assignment will begin February 2013.
