Neil has worked as a professional chemist for almost 40 years, with experience in R&D, technical management, and since 2007, executive level responsibilities. Neil has a wide professional network and an excellent reputation amongst senior technical figures in both the production chemicals and pressure pumping sectors. He has been involved with hundreds of projects on behalf of oil and gas producers and has an excellent understanding of the production problems that can be encountered and solved through the application of chemical technology, particularly the internal corrosion of well bores and pipelines. Neil also has extensive experience in the pumping services side of the business; cementing, fracturing and acidizing, with a strong track record of creating new intellectual property and providing elegant chemical solutions for his clients.Neil has maintained a keen, career-long interest in research, technology transfer, intellectual property and licensing, and has developed a good working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian Patent Law as it pertains to oilfield chemicals.Until November 2012, Neil was Vice-President, Corporate Technology for Sanjel Corporation, playing a strategic role in understanding and responding to the competitive challenges and client demands within the industry. From 2013 until early 2020, Neil was Vice President, Technology at Engenium Chemicals Corporation, a major manufacturer and supplier of performance chemicals to oil and gas service companies throughout north America. Following a (very) short-lived retirement, Neil joined VerdeChem Technologies in August 2020 as a director of Chemical Technology.
