I'm currently relocating to the Gold Coast, looking to further my career in Civil Construction. The past 7 months I was employed by Goodline at the Roy Hill project, Port Headland WA. There I've gained experience in the Mining industry, working a 4:1 week roster I really appreciate the FIFO lifestyle. On site I engaged in, though not limited too, operated 5,14,32 tonne excavators, operate telehandler, pipelayer, pipefitter, plumbing maintenance, earthworks, formwork and concreting with a 'can-do' attitude. Off site I maintained a healthy lifestyle with group boxing, early morning gym, running away from the heat and ignited a passion for skateboarding, which was dormant for 15yrs.During which time I had been approved leave-with-out-pay from Downer EDI Works. This was in the hope the Canberra Light Rail project was awarded to Downer, where I would have relocated and supervised a portion of the works. Unfortunately this was not the case and I was made redundant in December 2015. The 7 years I was employed by Downer, in the Rail Signalling division, I strived to achieve the Supervisor role from the ground up. Working with a variety of teams on different sites helped to develop project planning, zero-harm culture, environmental standards, engineering solutions, quality assurance, commercial claims and progress of sub-contractors and variations outside of contract. Being able to work under pressure to meet milestones and deadlines while maintaining an enjoyable work atmosphere I can deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
