I started work with Enterprise Property Group Limited in November 1999. My current role as Commercial Manager involves all aspects of our construction projects from planning through to final completion, as well as assisting with the acquisition of new business by undertaking financial appraisals and dealing with pre planning matters. In addition to this I am also the IT Manager, responsible for the provision and maintenance of the Company’s overall technology needs, and for developing the strategies to meet them. My working career started in 1986 as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor known then as J Hodgson Ltd, which later became Galliford Hodgson and now Galliford Try. This is where I received my formal training and gained extensive experience working on a wide range of refurbishment and new build projects within both the private and public sector. The projects ranged from complex, multi-million pound, refurbishment schemes, to new build schools, nursing homes and housing estates. I achieved the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor prior to leaving. In 1996 I began work for Hutton Construction as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. After a short while I saw the need to develop their IT and swiftly took on the role of IT Manager. In 1998 my role changed again where I became Senior Estimator as well as maintaining the role of IT Manager.Outside of work I enjoy family life. My hobbies are Clay Pigeon shooting as well as dabbling with all things gadgetry and computing.
