The Infrastructure Services team provides a wide variety of IT infrastructure to run services offered to the entire University. As the Infrastructure Services Manager, i am responsible for maintaining and developing the operation of core systems and supporting infrastructure changes to ensure continuity and improvement of services. The services include Automation Backup and Recovery, Cloud Infrastructure, Virtual Infrastructure, Directory Services, Linux, Hosting Service Monitoring, Card Management and Configuration Management.

Here, I successfully implemented an early start checklist for critical systems, proactively resolving issues before the main workforce commences. Throughout this time, I assisted in policy writing for ISO accreditations providing my technical insight and management input from the IT department. I led my team in overseeing both hardware, software, cyber security as well as project management. I implemented many improvements and changes during this time and was responsible for ensuring projects were completed on time, within budget and to specification. A big achievement in this role was that I developed and delivered a company-wide training event regarding Cyber Awareness, Spam, Phishing Emails and Malware, ensuring that data and systems remained protected.
